Submission of Paper:
Basically, submission of paper should be done via the EasyChair system till Sep. 25, 2009 (Closed!) But, some sessions use different style and different deadlines. Please confirm the style of submission and the deadline by visiting the web page of the session in which you want to participate.Paper Format:
All potential participants of ASCM and MACIS are invited to submit extended abstracts (3-4 pages) or full papers describing their work to be presented at the conference.
An extended abstract or a full paper is required to be prepared in B5 (182mm x 257mm) paper size. Your abstract or paper should be converted into a PDF format.
Please note that the initial submission deadline for an abstract/paper is Sep 25, 2009. A submission web page will appear soon. We provide a template in LaTeX; "templateASCM.MACIS.zip."
"templateASCM.MACIS.zip."
In an extended abstract or a full paper, every figure should appear as a grayscale image.
Technical Issues:
The LaTeX template above is prepared to use B5 paper size, however, many softwares set the default paper size of PDF to letter/A4 size. Please confirm that the electronic abstract/paper in a PDF format is also in B5 paper size, not in letter/A4 size. Further, you can check if a PDF file has all its fonts embedded by opening the PDF in acroread, choosing menu item "File|Properties" to view the
document properties, and selecting the "Fonts" tab. All the listed fonts should be marked as "Embedded" or "Embedded Subset."
There are two recommended procedures to generate PDF file with B5 paper size:
1. dvips -D 600 -t B5 -Ppdf -G0 mypaper.dvi, and then ps2pdf -dPDFSETTINGS=/printer -dCompatibilityLevel=1.3 -dMaxSubsetPct=100 -dSubsetFonts=true -dEmbedAllFonts=true -sPAPERSIZE=b5 mypaper.ps
2. dvipdfm(x) -p B5 mypaper.dvi
Do not use "pdflatex": In general, pdflatex will only embed all fonts if you fix your pdflatex configuration (something that has not been done by default for all latex distributions).
